Grilled smoky steak tips + Yarden 2T

Steak tips are just cut up pieces of amazingly juicy grilled steak - instead of having one whole. I usually like my steaks plain with salt and pepper but this is a fun alternative that will also taste great the next day!!!
Special Diet: Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Sugar Free
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 pounds steak
1 teaspoon salt pink Himalayan
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
6 cloves garlic peeled
2 teaspoons ginger, zested
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 red chili pepper, finely chopped, seeds removed for less heat
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Cut steaks into 2 inch chunks. Mix with 2 tablespoons olive oil and salt and pepper.
Prepare a small bowl or baking dish (that is oven safe) with the remaining ingredients. Place in oven and cook for 30-40 minutes or until garlic is soft.(this step can be done 2 days in advance, just reheat before adding to steak)
Prepare a grill pan on high heat. Place steaks on grill for 2 minutes per side.
Remove and place into garlic sauce. Mix well and serve hot.

Notes about the wine:
Yarden 2T Gamla 2014, is a blend of two traditional Portuguese grapes, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Cao. This wine was aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels and has a dark red purple color, full body and long finish that extenuate the bright rich flavors of red cherry, plum, spice and dark chocolate.
